Committees
An idea is made better by the support of members! GMPT offers the following committee opportunities to make your voice heard. Keep in mind that there are no set meeting times or dates for committees and no lengthy commitment. GMPT will work with you on whatever time and expertise you can offer.
Legislative Committee
The GMPT Legislative Committee is involved in developing ways to support GMPT's annual legislative agenda and policies. The legislative policies and agenda, developed by the committee, are presented to the membership for consideration and adoption each October at the GMPT annual meeting.
The committee prepares information for communication to the membership on legislative issues throughout the year. The legislative committee is appointed by the Board of Directors at the first meeting of the year.
Membership Committee
The GMPT Membership Committee works to develop new ways to grow GMPT and reach members and potential members. There is strength in numbers! The membership committee is also focused on developing value for GMPT members.
Communications & Outreach
The Communication & Outreach Committee is the place for those interested in providing creative input on ways to communicate to members, potential members, and beyond about the importance of Greater Minnesota's parks and trails. Offer ideas on content, messages, and materials for members and partners, including the GMPT website.
